Sathya
V.R.Sathyadev
who draws under the nom-de-plume of ‘SATHYA’ was born on 31st May
1971, at Kottayam as the son of N.K.Radhakrishnan Nair and Rajamma.K.S. He is
married to Sunitha and has one girl, Amrithavarshini.
He has a
Bachelor of Arts degree. He ran popular Cartoon Columns called Gallery, Sathyam
Vara in (Mangalam Daily-1989-1992). He worked as Cartoonist in The South East
Express(1997), as Cartoonist-cum-visualiser in Chennai-based Industrial
Economist(1997-99), Sub Editor in Surya TV(1998-2006),Political cartoonist
(freelance) in Desabhimani daily (2001-2003), News Head in Surya TV(2006-2010),
Cartoonist in The Daily Tribune(2010-) and Chief editor of Malayalam Today
(2010). He is now Creative Head of SPAC WLL, Bahrain which owns Daily Tribune
news paper and Radiovoice FM and also freelances as cartoonist. He carries
along interests in Poetry, Painting and Building Designing.
